Analyte NameArtinM (yeast)
Analyte FamilyPlant lectins
Analyte Informationy-ArtinM was recombinantly expressed in Saccharomyces cerevisiae BJ3501 and obtained by yeast lysis. It was purified by affinity chromatography on a D-mannose column, ultradiafiltered against PBS and biotinylated using sulfo-NHS-LC-biotin. ArtinM is a D-mannose-binding lectin that exerts immunomodulatory and regenerative activities through its carbohydrate recognition domain.
Concentration50 ug/ml
ProtocolAfter blocking arrayed slides with Blocker Casein (Pierce) containing 1% (w/v) bovine serum albumin (Sigma A8577), biotinylated y-ArtinM was assayed at 50 ug/ml. Binding was detected using Alexa Fluor-647-labeled streptavidin from Molecular Probes (1 ug/ml). As diluent the blocker solution was used.
